ALAN MURPHY at Crusoes, SAT 31ST OCTOBER. « Thread Started on Oct 9, 2009, 8:30pm »
ALAN MURPHY on SAT 31ST OCTOBER - halloween weekend, fancy dress definitely optional!
Alan was first introduced to me by Henry McCullough, who was so inspired when Alan (who was supporting act for Henry's Scottish tour) that he joined him on stage to rapturous applause. Henry passed on a few cd's to me and i instantly knew that Alan was a very talented musician, so it gives me great pleasure to be able to welcome him to Crusoes.
Alan is a singer songwriter from the Glasgow area, his music has a fresh but bluesy feel, a great mix of skilled guitar playing and impressive vocals. He has gigged with Paolo Nutini, with whom he played the late John Martyn's 'May You Never'. Alan has released 7 albums 2 of which, 'Daisy Chains' and 'Could've Been Good' feature on itunes. You can check out Alan Murphy for yourself at www.easyblu.es/listen.html Alan will also be doing some radio dates while he's over here so listen out for him!
The evening will include great Crusoes food and complimentary wine. Bread and homemade dips will be served on arrival followed by a 3 course meal with a halloween feel, finishing with a selection of award winning Irish cheeses
