I saw this on the news last week. Bit of a mystery for the geologists to solve. Apparently the "lake" that is under the sea is very similar to the lake on Fair Head. I wasn't aware that there was a lake on Fair Head. Another geological site of global importance to go along with the Giant's Causeway.

Fascinating stuff! I tried to watch the video at the bottom of the BBC article, but even though my computer says the file is 3.8MB, it says there's nothing there when I load it into WMV player. Sigh! Ah, well, even though it says it's an wmv file, I had to use RealPlayer to run it. Interesting, that. Cool stuff. It's just off the north coast of Rathlin Island. I wish, though, they had shown the sea floor all along that ridge. That would have been interesting, as well.
