The National Trust has warned that a controversial private development next to the Giant's Causeway would threaten its status as a World Heritage Site.
The hexagonal basalt columns were created by a volcanic eruption 60 million years ago The conservation charity, which owns the Causeway, said the plans for a visitor centre with a 200-seat restaurant and car park on a nearby greenfield site flew in the face of planning policies.
